Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, Bill passed away on May 10th, 2019 at the age of 57.

Loving husband of Sharon for 22 years. Cherished father of Richard & Warren. Beloved son of Joseph Robert Baker, Eva Lenore Murrell (Mum) and Kathryn Irene Monk; who raised Bill as her own. Brother of Laurie-Anne (John), Dave, Tyson, Karen and predeceased by brothers Bobby, Ted and Randy. Bill will greatly miss his fur buddies Elgee & Ender. He will be forever remembered by his cousins & extended family.

In 1979 Bill joined the Second Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment; he served overseas in Cyprus twice, in Bosnia and in Oka Quebec where he met his wife Sharon. He held the appointment of Drum Major for a two year term and after 34 years of service retired in 2013. Pro Patria.

Bill had a witty sense of humor, he had a way about him that lifted people up with his words and generosity.

As per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday May 17th at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton) at 1:00 p.m. with visitation at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice can be made. Online condolences can be expressed at
