1943-2018

Larry William  Potter

Peacefully, with his family by his side, at Victoria Hospital, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, Larry Potter of London, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Ann Potter. Cherished father to Wendy Potter (Eric) and Beth Potter (Scott). Loving grandfather to Oliver, James, Jack, and Ian. Dear brother of Doug (Arlene), Judie (Bashir), Biff (Dale), Linda (Jim), Mike (Pat), Jill (Len), Kim (Jane), Don (Wendy), Terry (Janet), and Betty Jane. Predeceased by his parents, Beatrice and Douglas Potter and by a brother Nick Potter. Larry will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Larry was born and raised in London, Ontario and taught for 36 years, mainly with the Thames Valley District School Board. He enjoyed coaching basketball, spending time at his family cottage in Harcourt Park, and fishing with friends and family. A special thank you to Dr. Stephanie Stocco and all of the staff in the Sub-Acute Medicine Unit at Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion.

Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St), on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 12-1pm. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 1pm in the chapel with Pastor Rick Boyes officiating.

Friends who wish to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society of London-Middlesex or the LHSC Foundation – directed to the Sub-Acute Medicine Unit of Victoria Hospital.
